The management, coaching staff and parents of the West Ottawa 1998 Gator girls soccer team would like to congratulate the girls on a very successful winter soccer season. For the first time, the players within the 1998 age group from Kanata and Goulbourn Soccer Clubs collaborated to form a team to play in the winter Development League commonly known as the Polar Bear Soccer League. The 1998 West Ottawa Gators were formed out of the five competitive teams which played under the Kanata and Goulbourn Soccer Clubs banners last summer.
The West Ottawa 1998 Gators finished the winter season with a overwhelming record of 10 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie and plus 24 goals differential to finish on top of the divisional U12/13 standings. What makes this achievement even sweeter is that the others teams within the division all were from the 1997 age group; thus the West Ottawa 1998 Gators were playing against soccer players who are bigger and have played together longer.
In addition to the team success, one player, #2 Taylyn Goodwin, was awarded with the Golden Boot which is an award presented to the player with the most goals scored during the winter season.
The Gators players all had a successful season while developing their soccer skills to become better total soccer players. Lots of fun was had by all.
CONGRATULATIONS TO:
#2 Taylyn Goodwin, #3 Brianna Hodgins, #4 Serena Puri, #5 Holly Loomes, #6 Bradey Rosettani, #7 Claire Woodfield, #8 Giselle Ashmore, #9Alyssa Taylor, #10 Sarah Bruce, #11 Victoria Kitagawa, #12Lauren Bafia, #13 Tamara Condie, #14 Lauren Montopoli, #15 Emma Lewis, #16 Sara Van Galder and #17 Kiara McClean.
